As well as looking into successful comic book covers I have also been looking into the thought processes and techniques that come into play when creating a punchy front cover that has instant shelf appeal.
This article discusses the important aspects of cover ‘anatomy’ in what the author terms the six C’s, covering things such as colour, content, composition and characters. While this is purely subjective opinion it makes for an interesting read and I actually agree with much of what the author writes. The use of examples for each section really helps to enforce the points being made.
